Brief story, My name Sok Chamroeun, Cambodian tour guide, most my friends call me JB, grew up in a tiny fishing village near Angkhor Wat temple dreaming of learning English and one day being a guide at the temple. I walked 14km to my school each day often carrying my clothes through wet season floods. I learned Japanese and English and turned up at tour guide school with $3.50 in savings. Now I work for my own tours call (JB Tours). But amazingly I hasn't kept my success to myself. I set up a free School call (JB School from 2013) in my village and my family and volunteers teach English and computer skills. About 400 kids come here every day after real school.
I believe that even though no one can do EVERYTHING, but everyone can do SOMETHING.
Riel Ruon

My name is Riel Ruon, male, 35 years old, born in Cheasmorn village, Meachey Commune, Brasat Bakong District, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia.
I am married and have a daughter.
I studied at Bakong high school, After graduating from high school, I went on to study English in Siem Reap.
After completing my English course, I returned to my hometown and volunteered to teach English at JB School from 2013 to present 2022.
I am currently an English teacher and general manager of JB School.
My goal is to help the children in the community learn a foreign language to make it easier for them to find good jobs and come back to help our poor community thrive.

Married but have no children.
Graduated from 10 January high school and continued to study computer and electrical skills.
After graduating, I returned to my hometown and taught Computer Skills at JB School from 2013 to the present 2022.
I am currently a teacher at JB School.
Aims to join with JB to teach students English and computer skills.

日本在住ですが、年に２-3回JBスクールで日本語を教えています。
カンボジアのアンコールワットには毎年5万人前後の日本人観光客が来ていました。JBスクールに通う、貧困層の子どもたちは大学に進学することができず、貧困から抜け出すことが出来ません。ですが観光ガイドの職に就くと、警察官より高給取りになり、中間層の生活が可能になります。
子どもたちは生きていくために、貧困から脱出するために、必死に勉強をしています。その姿を日本の大学生に見せるために、コロナ前は毎年大学生を連れてJBスクールに来ていました。
